(Some might think it's time to build that secret hidden storeroom for those pesky unmentionables...)

TechDirt.com 19 May, 2011 -- [There's been a] ridiculous ruling in the Indiana Supreme Court that effectively legalizes the ability of law enforcement to enter any home without a warrant. Why? The court basically says that it's "against public policy" to require a warrant:

"We believe however that a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence."

Commentary from "Mrs. Back Door Neighbor":

"The Police State has arrived in Indiana let alone our airports and train stations. It's up to active, engaged citizens to roll back this nonsense. There is no point being "busy" with your kids' activities, your church activities, your jobs, or your vacations if you don't have a free country left at the end of the day.  (If you know someone in Indiana, ask them to vote for Sheriff candidates that won't engage in warrantless police entries.)"
